#AnUglySweater: OMSMPC's First Virtual Christmas Party for Members

The Online Micro Sellers Multipurpose Cooperative hosted its very first virtual Christmas party for its members! Through the initiative of our Community Engagement Team, our official members had a blast with games, raffle prizes, costume contests, and Christmas card contests last December 16, 2022, through our first-ever online year-end celebration.

|
|
With the theme #AnUglySweater, members showcased their most imaginative and unique sweaters during the virtual event. The theme-dressed Ka-Sellers added to the excitement and fun of the party, as the "ugliest sweater" won PHP 3,000 in Sodexo vouchers!
|
|
|
Hosts Gela and Carls welcomed the members to the virtual Christmas party and got the party going with interesting games. Among the games were Spot the Difference, Ka-Seller Feud, and, of course, raffle draws where members had a chance to win exclusive Coop merchandise like the OMSMPC Green Shirt, Coop Notebook, Coop Bomber Jacket, Power Bank, and Tumbler Gift Sets. Other prizes are a Hanabishi electric kettle, a dry iron, a griller, a coffee maker, PHP 300 worth of Sodexo vouchers, PHP 1,000 in Gcash from WiseCare, a brand new Oppo A55 PLUS, and an iPhone 13 ProMax!

The OMSMPC Board of Directors—Mr. Frederick Lasmarias, Board Chairperson; Ms. Veronica Carreon, Board Vice Chairperson; Ms. Luisa Pua, Board Member; Mr. Jeffrey Ligutom, Board Member; Mr. Bryan Anastacio, Board Member; and Ms. Yolanda Lopez, Board Treasurer—were also present during the virtual party where they gave their messages and remarks to all members.

The Board Chairperson, Mr. Frederick Lasmarias, briefly discussed upcoming benefits and projects of our cooperative, like the HMO project for members. Mr. Lasmarias announced that the Board of Directors has awarded the member HMO Program to Health Maintenance, Inc. (HMI), which provided the most competitive proposal among the selected providers. Interested members who wish to apply for HMO coverage and subsidies were encouraged to fill out the HMO Details and Premiums form.

The winners of the #KaSellerChristmasCard2022 were also announced during the virtual party. Prior to the event, members posted their most creative family Christmas card photos or artwork on their Facebook or Instagram pages. The family Christmas card of The Kit and Caboodle Shop won the First Place prize, a PHP 3,000 Sodexo voucher.

Ms. Gemma Impuerto was also named the #AnUglySweater costume contest winner, receiving a PHP 3,000 Sodexo voucher. Gemma won against hundreds of other members who also dressed in their unique and “ugly” sweater costumes.
|
|
|
Ultimately, Mr. Michael Sunga was the grand winner after bagging the iPhone 13 ProMax at the last round of the raffle during the virtual Christmas party.
