OMSMPC, through the Election Committee, organized the graduation of the first batch of the Coop L.O.V.E. Program at the Philippine Cooperative Center on November 24, 2022.
|
|
|
The members who were included in the first batch of graduates are Ms. Rocelia Jacinto De Guzman, Ms. Shyllane Bartoline Gonzales, Mr. Rolando Canimo Mananquil, Mr. Aladin Pornasdoro Gulifardo, Ms. Allen Grace Tomenio Tataro, Mr. Alvin Caballes Mamales, Ms. Joanne Christie Uy Bomping Tan, Ms. Marie Anne Asuncion Pastor Mananzan, and Mr. Edward Nicholai Lakas Carreon.

Mr. Fred Lasmarias, the board chairperson, opened the program, and Ms. Mean Panopio, the chairperson of the election committee, welcomed the participants. Our compliance associate, Mr. JP Cario, continued with a refresher about cooperative principles and values. He emphasized that a person’s genuine practice of these principles will never sway him from good governance.

Mr. Cario also highlighted that cooperative values and principles can counter some negative Filipino traits that might hinder someone’s excellence, integrity, and success.
|
|
|
Current OMSMPC officers also shared their testimonies before the graduates. They shared their first impressions of the cooperative, how they became involved as officers, and the challenges as well as the joys of being one. Ms. Gladys Cumagun, secretary of the Education & Training Committee, shared that she only knew about the COOP by joining the online games and campaign. She then attended a leadership forum organized by OMSMPC, which inspired her to become involved as an officer.

Ms. Bea Carreon, Education & Training Committee Chairperson and BOD Vice-Chairperson, thanked the COOP Love graduates for their commitment to becoming our cooperative's next generation of leaders. She also encouraged them to feel proud of themselves for completing this exclusive opportunity to understand more about OMSMPC.
