OMSMPC Leaders Visited Billionaire Cooperatives

In the previous months, OMSMPC leaders and management had a series of educational visits or Lakbay-Aral to different cooperatives. This initiative was done to reconnect with our partners in the cooperative sector. Adhering to the principle of “Cooperation Among Cooperatives," we constantly look for ways to learn from other cooperatives, particularly those who have demonstrated long-term success in the area.
A few of the cooperatives we have visited are the Union of Defense and Public Safety Cooperatives (UDPSC), Cooperative Union of Taguig (COUNTPA), Philippine Cooperative Center (PCC), Union of Metro Manila Cooperatives (UMMC), and Barangka Credit Cooperative (BCC).

San Dionisio Credit Cooperative (SDCC)

Recently, our committee officers have immersed themselves in more established cooperatives. These billionaire cooperatives welcomed Online Micro Sellers Multipurpose Cooperative to their offices and discussed best practices and strategies with our officers.

Also with them are OMSMPC General Manager, Mr. Paolo Olis, and Compliance Associate, Mr. JP Cario.
As a cooperative, SDCC concentrated on adding excellent value to its products and services. They added that excellent value is a unique and helpful feature that entices members to continuously patronize it.
San Dionisio Credit Cooperative started on July 28, 1961, through its 28 founding members. The CDA approved them as a credit cooperative in September 1961, making SDCC the first community-type credit union in the Philippines. For more than 60 years, San Dionisio Credit Cooperative has now had 4 billion assets with over 24 thousand local and OFW members combined.
