Empowering OMSMPC members through excellent training
|

In an effort to empower members through excellent training, OMSMPC, through the Education and Training Committee, collaborated with resource speakers from the Social Security System (SSS) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to provide relevant training for our members. These trainings were conducted via OMSMPC's training programs, Coop Web Session (CWS), and Ka-Sellers with Experts (KWE).

Our Coop Web Session last August 11 was a 2-hour SSS seminar about the Voluntary Members and Worker's Investment and Savings Program or WISP. It was presented by Ms. Patricza Braganza, Corporate Executive Officer II of the SSS Member Education Department. She discussed the various programs and benefits available to SSS voluntary members, which are beneficial to most of our COOP members as full-time sole proprietors.

The Worker's Investment and Savings Program or WISP is a new fund scheme by SSS intended as an additional savings fund for individual members.

|
On August 25, the Ka-Sellers with Experts (KWE) training session entitled “Sales and Marketing Techniques for MSMEs” was conducted by Mr. Jerry Yao, a Certified Marketing Education. He focused on understanding the market, segmentation, customer satisfaction, and other helpful tips on effective marketing.

Coop Web Session (CWS) is a free 1.5-hour webinar on relevant topics for our OMSMPC members conducted via Zoom and Facebook Livestream.

|
|
|
Ka-Sellers with Experts (KWE) is a free 4-hour practical and technical skills training on marketing, business management, seller communications, and many other topics exclusive to OMSMPC members.
